PETALING JAYA - Malaysia’s King, Sultan Ibrahim Iskandar, has safely returned to Malaysia after undergoing treatment abroad.

The special aircraft carrying the monarch arrived at the Royal Malaysian Air Force Base in Subang on Feb 22 at 7am.

Sultan Ibrahim, 66, was greeted on arrival by Comptroller of the Royal Household of Istana Negara Datuk Zailani Hashim, Istana Negara Grand Chamberlain Datuk Azuan Effendy Zairakithnaini, as well as officers from the palace.

In a post on Sultan Ibrahim’s official Facebook account, he also expressed gratitude to all citizens who had offered prayers for his health.

He left Malaysia on Feb 7 to undergo “conservative treatment” for pain caused by intensive military training and his active sporting lifestyle, especially polo, in his younger years, the palace said in a statement this week. THE STAR/ASIA NEWS NETWORK
