North Korea media reports on South Korea s court ruling to oust impeached president KCNA
SEOUL – The North Korean media reported on South Korea’s Constitutional Court ruling to oust the country’s impeached president, Yoon Suk Yeol, state media agency KCNA said on April 5.
South Koreas Constitutional Court ousted the then President on April 4 over his shock martial law attempt in December.
KCNA noted that all eight judges of South Korea’s Constitutional Court voted to remove Yoon from office, and also said that major foreign media outlets urgently reported on the ruling.
Yoon took a hard line on North Korea and was often the subject of criticism from Pyongyang. During his short presidency, North Korea changed its decades-long policy of unification with the South and changed its constitution to designate it the “principal enemy”. REUTERS
